Centuries of working Polish flocks made the PON vigilant, quick-thinking and pleasantly wilful — it remembers everything, including which rules you fail to enforce. With its own people it's affectionate and playful; with strangers it's a polite but unblinking security consultant.

Common questions
Do Polish Lowland Sheepdogs shed?
Very little falls out, but loose hair tangles into the coat instead — so it's low-shedding yet high-grooming. No dog is truly hypoallergenic, this one included.
Are PONs good with children?
Good with their own family's children, especially when raised together, though they may try to herd the small ones. Supervise and give the dog a retreat space.
Is a PON hard to train?
It learns fast — the challenge is that it also thinks fast, and tests whether rules are optional. Be consistent, keep sessions fresh, and it's a superb working partner.
