The same number of suns as moons in every row and column.

Never three of the same symbol in a row.

= means the pair matches, × means the pair differs.

Every row and every column takes the same number of suns as moons, and you can never have three of the same symbol in a row. Between some squares sits a sign: = means that pair matches, × means it differs. Every board can be worked out by looking at it — you are never asked to guess.

Start from the signs rather than the empty squares. An = between two cells means whatever one takes, the other takes too, so a single symbol placed anywhere in that pair fills both. Then use the three-in-a-row rule backwards: if two of the same sit side by side, the squares at each end of them are forced. Every board is solvable by looking, never by guessing.
