AI transparency

The short version

• Most of BreedQuest's writing, and some of its photography, is created with the help of AI and then reviewed and edited by people before it is published.
• We tell you this because you deserve to know how what you are reading was made.
• AI can be confidently wrong. Nothing here replaces a professional — for health, that means your vet.

Where we use AI

• Writing. We use AI tools to draft and structure breed profiles, guides and stories. A person edits every piece for accuracy, tone and usefulness before it goes live.
• Translation. BreedQuest ships in six languages. Translations are produced with machine translation, then checked so they read naturally rather than word for word.
• Photography. Some images — including certain guide hero photos — are AI-generated illustrations of a typical scene, not photographs of a specific real animal or person. Breed reference photos, where we show them, are handled separately and labelled.
• Tools. Our calculators run on published, documented formulas that we cite on each tool, not on a hidden model.

Where we don't

• We never let AI publish on its own. A person is always in the loop before anything is live.
• Health and symptom guides get an added veterinary-science review — see our editorial policy.
• We don't use AI to invent specific facts we can't source, such as an exact price for a breed.

The limits, plainly

AI-assisted writing can still be wrong, fall out of date, or oversimplify. Treat our guides as a well-informed starting point, not the last word. For anything that affects your pet's health, safety or money, check with the right professional: a vet, a qualified trainer, or a breed club.
