Reversi, sometimes sold as Othello, on an 8×8 board. Every move has to trap a line of your rival's discs between the one you place and one of yours already down — and every disc in that line flips to your colour. That is why the score swings so violently: a single move late on can turn a dozen discs at once, and being ahead in the middle of the game means very little. Corners cannot be flanked, so they are worth more than they look. One of you hosts and shares the PIN; the most discs when the board fills wins.
